Roadmap
What works today. What's coming next.
No hype. What works today. What's coming next. And Arthur's big goal after that.
Now
Version 1: stick figures
In the app today:
- AI Animator — type your idea and it plans the key poses and animates it, with real animation principles built in (wind-ups, ease in and out, follow-through, weight, impacts, planted feet).
- Moves and effects — walks, runs, jumps, punches, kicks, sword fights, plus effects like fire, water, lightning, ice, smoke, explosions and text.
- Drawing tools — draw by hand, pose stick figures and work frame by frame on a timeline.
- Export — save your animation as an MP4 video to share anywhere.
- Help Assistant — ask how to do something while you work.
Next — coming soon
Before the beta opens
Not built yet. This is what Arthur is building right now:
- Edit by chatting — tell the AI Animator “make it slower” right inside the editor, and it changes your animation.
- Beta opens October 20, 2026 — reserve your free trial or ask to be notified. The first 50 people who sign up get 25% off their first year.
Coming — no date yet
Vote on what Version 2 should be
Early users will get to vote on what Version 2 should be — and we'll thank voters. How the vote works isn't decided yet, and there's no date.
Arthur's goal — no dates
The big goal: 2D animation that looks 3D
This is the reason Arthur built Diamond Animator. It's a goal, not a promise, and there's no date. Arthur only promises what's built. But this is the plan:
- Stick figures stay. They're not going anywhere.
- A better AI Animator, again and again. Smoother moves and bigger, more complex scenes.
- Version 2: more complex, better scenes — and more than stick figures.
- The big goal: the engine makes a real 3D animation, then turns it into 2D frames you can edit on your timeline. So it's still 2D animation, but it looks 3D.
This is just the beginning.
Watch every step get built on Arthur's YouTube channel, Animator Builder.
