The app
What is Diamond Animator, in one sentence?
A stick-figure animation app where you type your idea — “two stick figures have a sword fight” — and the AI Animator plans the key poses and animates it for you.
I can't draw and I've never animated. Can I still use it?
Yes. That's exactly who it's for. You describe what should happen; the AI Animator does the posing and the in-betweens. No drawing needed.
I already animate. Will this replace my own tools?
It works alongside your skills. You get drawing and stick-figure tools, a timeline to work frame by frame, and MP4 export. Use the AI Animator to get a scene moving fast, then make it yours by hand.
Can I change what the AI Animator makes?
Yes — what it makes lands in your project as normal frames, so you can change them with the drawing tools. Editing by chatting (like typing “make it slower”) is coming soon, before the beta opens. See the roadmap.
Do I need to install anything? Is there a phone app?
Nothing to install — it runs in your web browser at app.diamondanimator.com (it opens October 20, 2026).
Diamond Animator works only on computers. Works on any computer — Mac, Windows or Chromebook — in your web browser. Not on phones or tablets. There is no phone or tablet version and no phone app. You can still read this website on your phone and reserve your free trial there. We'll email you the link to open on your computer.
Can I share what I make?
Yes. Export your animation as an MP4 video and post it wherever you like.
The AI
How is this different from other AI video tools?
It was built by an animator. The AI Animator follows real animation rules: wind-ups before big moves, easing in and out, follow-through, weight that bends arms and legs, impacts that match what gets hit, feet that stay planted, and poses you can read. That's what makes motion feel right instead of floaty.
Is it only stick figures?
Right now, yes. Version 1 is stick figures, with moves like walks, runs, punches, kicks and sword fights, and effects like fire, water, lightning and explosions. Stick figures stay. Version 2 brings bigger, better scenes and more than stick figures. The big goal: the engine makes a real 3D animation, then turns it into 2D frames you can edit on your timeline. So it's still 2D animation, but it looks 3D. That's a goal, with no date yet. See the roadmap.
What's an AI credit?
1 AI credit = 1 message to the AI Animator. Each plan comes with a set number of credits every month (see below).
What if the AI doesn't get my idea right?
Change it by hand with the drawing tools, or try your idea again with more detail. Soon you'll also be able to just tell it what to change (that part is coming soon, before the beta).
Pricing & trial
How much does it cost?
Monthly plans, three to choose from. Or pay once a year and get 2 months free:
- Starter — $5.99/month (or $59/year), 300 AI credits a month
- Creator — $11.99/month (or $119/year), 1,200 AI credits a month (most popular)
- Studio — $19.99/month (or $199/year), 3,000 AI credits a month
Prices are a draft and may change before anything is charged.
Is the free trial really free? Do I need a card?
Really free, and no card needed. You get 14 days with Creator features and 150 AI credits. The trial opens on October 20, 2026. Reserve your free trial and we'll email you your invite that day.
What happens after the 14 days?
The app locks unless you pick a plan. There's no free plan — but because there's no card on file, you're never charged by surprise. You choose.
What's the beta deal?
The beta opens October 20, 2026. Sign up now: reserve your free trial, or ask us to tell you when it's out. Both are free, just your email, and both count. The first 50 people who sign up get 25% off their whole first year.
Subscribe to Animator Builder on YouTube and you get a one-time 10% off your first month only (monthly plans only). One time per person. The code is shared on the channel.
Do both and you get 30% off your first month, then 25% off for the rest of your first year. 30% is the most anyone gets. See the beta page.
Monthly or yearly: which should I pick?
Monthly: you pay a little at a time and can cancel anytime. The smallest plan is $5.99 a month. Yearly: you pay once and get 2 months free ($59 a year for Starter).
How do I cancel?
The rules are on our Refunds & Cancellation page (a draft until a lawyer checks it). Questions? Email [email protected].
Kids & parents
Is Diamond Animator for kids?
It's for anyone with an idea — and it was built by a kid. Arthur, who built it, is 12. If you're under 13, you need a parent or guardian to say yes and help set things up.
I'm a parent. What exactly am I paying for?
A monthly (or yearly) plan with a set number of AI credits each month (1 credit = 1 message to the AI Animator). Start with the free 14-day trial — no card needed — so your child can try it before you pay anything.
